Baseball Season Officially Begins
This is a phrase we will be hearing and saying for the next 3 to 4 month's Because Baseball season has officially begun! With some excitement and anxiety we go forth to the land of Baseball for Braden, Dallin & Adam!
Trevor has chosen Track this year much to our happiness. A change and he seems to really be enjoying it so far. Running hurdles & so far only one scraped up knee! Way to go T-Bone!
Dallin and Adam started practice on Thrusday THE SAME TEAM THIS YEAR!! (so much relief for mom and dad!)
Braden had his frist game on Friday i got some great photo's i will post a few here. The sun was setting behind him as he pitched so i had to catch that of course!
SO wish us luck and we will see you at the ball park and the track.

Winter Campout!!
It does snow in California. The snow where the boys are playing is actually the road. The snow on top of the cars fell during the night. It was a great snowy campout! The snow is very wet here in Cali., perfect for making snowballs and igloo's.
Dallin is bundled up in the snow. This is his first snow camp. He did great!
This is the great tent that I slept in. During the night the snow kept piling up on it and tried to cave in on us. We had to keep kicking the snow off the tent throughout the night. Most of the boys and the other leaders didn't do this and their tents had been pushed down by the snow. It was like having our own snow caves.
The front sledder is Braden. Trevor is on the left in the back and Brian is on the orange sled. We thought we would introduce the boys to how scouting used to be done and pulled them behind the truck on the sleds.
This is the fire pit. It is an old wash tub out of a washing machine. It works great. We just need to have two of them for winter campouts. Mark is the "comando" scout. He had a knife for every occassion as well as flares and anything else we needed.
This is the "igloo" that we built. It is two rooms and all 22 of us that went camping could cram into half of it. It was great. We were sorry we had to leave and were not able to sleep in it.
We had 16 - 5 gallon bucket that we used to make our blocks for the igloo.
A couple of the leaders brought their snowboards and tried to snowboard. They did good but the snow was pretty deep and heavy! This is Dee Fapulla, the YM President!
Jason Spain is the one in the back. He spent most of his time going down the hill on his side. Let's just say he fell a few times! This was his first time trying to snowboard and the conditions were not that good for a new guy!
Here is Eric Lindsey. He is the snowboard pro and was down the hill before I could come and take his picture. He is posing in front of his exterra "Layla" that he thought needed a car "blanquie" on it for the night. I guess it is a "California" car!
Eric is the 1st Councilor in YM Presidency.
This is part of the group. Some of the others were out sledding and other stuff. We had a great trip. Thanks to all the leaders that made this possible. It was a great trip!
Mark Biggs and ?? holding the arch up waiting for more packing snow.
This is how the roof went together.
Mark Biggs in the entrance to the igloo. Mark is the second councilor in the YM Presidency and the scout master too!
