Halloween Continued...

Braden is #25!
Braden had a football game at 8 on Halloween against Capitol Christian, a team from Sacramento. They went into the game as the underdogs... Cap Cr. was predicted to win 21 to 14. They came out pretty strong and scored a touch down on their first possession. Our D. just couldn't seem to figure them out. then Marysville came back and scored on their first possession. This went on like that again with both teams scoring tying the game at 14. then Cap came back to end the 1st half with another touchdown making the score the predicted 21-14!
Second half was much different... Marysville came on the field ready to Defend! and stopped two touchdown attempts on the goal line!! very tense! then themselves scored 3 time's in the second half to shut them down! MARYSVILLE WINS 34 To 21!!! It was like a playoff game the second half was intense! They beat last years section champs!
A scary moment in the game happened when cap was just about to make a touch down in the second half and our D stopped them. the receiver got hit HARD and went down and didn't even Move! he was out cold! The guy who hit him was pretty worried and they all were the longer he was out. about 10- 15 min! So as the D was out on the field "taking a Knee" they huddled close together and someone suggested they say a prayer. Braden said they said some memorized prayer then he said, "i gonna say a prayer too." so he said a prayer "that the kid would be ok and they would have peace." As a mom i have to tell you it was one of the coolest things I've see to watch 11 football players huddled together on the field to pray on bended knee. i will never forget it! And to have Braden offer a prayer was awesome! He says they can get pretty crass in football! so to have a moment like that is a huge win in my book!
Here is a pic of the coaches giving them praise for the win after the game! you can see Knudson in front. Oh yeah it also Rained the whole time i felt like i was back in Seattle at one of my highschool games. the field was SO muddy!
Trevor on the Far Right in his game. what a stud. he got a ton of playing time this week although the Freshman team lost. They played Cordua school somewhere up by Chico.
Here is a few more pics of the kids from Halloween. Macie and Daniel had a photo shoot with mom in their costumes. I set up my back drop and boy did they love it! Macie was such a model! Daniel not so much thank goodness!
Oh WE are really going to have to watch this little Bride!
Yes that is a piece of honey comb cereal on his mouth! what a BOY!

That is awesome story about the football player that got hurt. Very touching and a great example for Braden to be as a leader in his team. It's cool to hear all the football stories!
